The Coen Foundation
“Securing Central America’s future”
Founded in 2004, the Coen Foundation is a testimony to the Coen Group’s commitment with Nicaragua’s development as a fair, democratic, equitable, responsible, prosperous, and stable nation.
The Foundation’s main goal is to eradicate poverty and improve the quality of life of low-income families and individuals. The foundation stands out for the Coen Family’s commitment and social investment philosophy that emphasizes capability development through education. For this purpose, the Foundation has developed programs and projects in the fields of education, health, environment, national identity and cultural heritage as well as social work. These programs have stood out for their effectiveness and sustainability strategy aimed at creating more and better opportunities for future generations.
The model currently employed in Nicaragua will be replicated all over Central America with the goal of reinforcing overall regional development in the areas where the Coen Group currently operates and provides thousands of jobs for local employees.
